BIO:
Some say it’s magic. Others are in disbelief they no longer hurt. But after 30 yrs,300,000 massages and a testimonial list too long to mention, Holden Zalma is beyond magic – he has the MetaTouch.
Founder of MetaTouch Body Balance, Holden Zalma has raised the bar on massage therapy with a bedside manner that is goal-oriented, sincere and attentive. He’s thrown the spa menus in the trash and has developed his own methodology named MyoAlign. This technique takes into account the mental, physical and history of the client to create a custom treatment that works by addressing the core of what ails you instead of just masking symptoms.
The MetaTouch “discovery and road to recovery” approach has helped many MetaTouch patients frustrated with the way modern medicine looks at musculo-skeletol problems, battling with chronic and acute pain and plain old stress. Zalma’s goal-oriented approach has won him many accolades from doctors, industry leaders and, of course, from the very patients that speak of his touch. All therapists at MetaTouch, practice with MyoAlign technique and offer the goal-oriented approach to wellness.
Previous to opening up MetaTouch 30 yrs ago, Zalma was an assistant athletic trainer and therapist at the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) working with athletes on the football, swimming and volleyball teams. Over a four-year span at USC, Zalma got knee-deep in wound care, chronic pain therapy and postoperative rehabilitation.
Zalma attended the University of Southern California obtaining a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Physical Therapy. Holden also attended South Baylo university of oriental medicine and has had many mentors in multiple modalities that helped further his knowledge of the body and mind. Holden currently lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and son.
